UPDATED 1/25/26
Due to continued inclement weather, please review the following important operational updates for Monday, Jan. 26. These measures are intended to support the safety of our community while ensuring continuity of critical patient care services.
Clinical Operations | Patient Care Services
To allow for safer travel conditions while maintaining essential services:
- All outpatient clinics will delay start times until 10 a.m.
- UT Dentistry outpatient clinics at the Center for Oral Healthcare and Research (COCHR) will also begin at 10 a.m.
- The Multispecialty and Research Hospital will continue normal operations.
- Clinical operational support services will maintain business continuity. Team members with questions about their specific area should contact their supervisor directly.
- Individual clinics are directly communicating with their patients and providing specific instructions, as needed.
We recognize and deeply appreciate the dedication of those who serve our patients. These adjustments are designed to support critical patient access to care while also allowing our clinical teams additional time to travel safely.
Students in Clinical Settings
- Students assigned to clinical rotations should follow the protocols of their assigned clinical sites.
- Questions should be directed to program directors, who will provide guidance specific to each placement.
Research and Laboratory Operations
- Essential research laboratory operations will continue as scheduled and research support services remain available and operational.
- Research-related questions may be directed to VPR@uthscsa.edu.
Campus Resources and Emergency Support
- Campus shuttle service will start at 9:30 a.m.
- The Dolph Briscoe Jr. Library remains open 24/7 and is available as a safe space for students, faculty and staff.
- Gold’s Gym, located on the Long Campus, is expected to remain open and may also serve as an emergency support location.
Additional Reminders
- All classes are cancelled, and non-essential operations are closed on Monday, Jan. 26.
- Please follow department- and unit-level procedures to ensure essential staffing needs are met while prioritizing personal and campus safety.
